Terms and Conditions
Welcome to MEWS Lighting & Bath’s on line store. Upon processing your online order, you agree to accept these terms & conditions. Please read carefully.

General Returns
If you are not completely satisfied with your product(s), you may return the product(s) within 30 days of your purchase for a full refund less shipping charges and handling. Special orders are non returnable and there are incidences when a manufacturer's 25% restocking fee will apply (does not apply to in stock items from MEWS Lighting & Bath local warehouse).

The customer must notify customer service at within (10) days after receipt of any item to return. No exceptions after (10) days.

Upon return of product, the product must be:

  • In the original packages
  • New condition
  • Undamaged
  • Not “installed” or “ modified.”
  • Non-Refundable Items
  • Special Order Items
  • Custom or handmade products
  • Ceiling Fans
  • Fluorescent Fixtures
  • Light bulbs
  • Clearance or Sale items
  • Parts
  • Return Authorizations “RGA”
To ensure that your return is processed accurately and promptly, please call us first at 256.232.8456 or email When calling please ask for an Online customer service associate to provide you a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) and instructions on how to ship the product back to us. Office hours are Mon-Sat. 8:30 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Central Time.

*Please note that returns made without a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) will not be accepted.

Write the Return Goods Authorization number on the pre-printed return address form included with your boxed order. Complete the returns form, then pack it with your order and affix the address label to the outside of the box. Send your return via Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, or USPS and obtain a tracking number. On large fixtures you may be required to return by a Freight Line and a copy of the Bill of Lading should be attached.

Respond to the order return request e-mail with the shipment date and tracking number. Be sure to include a copy of your invoice enclosed in your return box.

Once the product is received at our warehouse in good condition we will issue a refund for the amount of the product and tax to the original method of payment used for the purchase. All shipping charges on purchases and returns are non refundable.

All merchandise must be in the original packaging. Please note that installed products with cut wires or missing crystals, glass, or parts will not be issued a refund.

Returns for Defective Products
If within (10) days of receiving your order, any product proves to be defective, contact us immediately. Do Not Ship the product back without contacting us first for a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) issued and return instructions. After we receive the defective merchandise, upon claim and approval of inspection, a replacement fixture is exchanged at no charge for the defective fixture, unless the fixture is discontinued or no longer available, then a refund of the purchase price less shipping and handling charges will be issued. All refunds will be provided as a credit to the credit card used at the time of purchase within five (5) business days upon receipt of the returned merchandise if in good condition.

Returns for Damaged Products
Please inspect items upon receipt, if there are damaged items, please notify us immediately. It is your responsibility to inspect the fixture immediately and before having it installed. Please do not ship product until you have received return instructions, as long as there is proof of notification within 10 days you will receive return instructions shortly after. After 10 days of receipt, if there is no notification from the customer, a refund or exchange will not be issued. No exceptions.

Merchandise that has been damaged in the return transit are non- refundable but would be refundable from the shipping carrier as long as the items are insured and a claim has been made to the shipping carrier. MEWS Lighting & Bath recommends you insure your return shipment. MEWS Lighting & Bath will not refund if your product is returned damaged from the carrier and is not insured.

All products sold by MEWS Lighting & Bath are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. This warranty will be furnished upon written request. If you have purchased a product from us and find it to be defective, please contact Customer Service at for assistance in processing your claim. We will not be liable for installation fees of any kind.

Delivery/Shipping Policy
Orders typically take 2 to 3 weeks for delivery depending on availability. Occasionally production schedules change and a product will be temporarily out of stock. This can cause delays. Backorders from manufacturers are beyond our control. Please contact us at if your order has not been received in the time expected and we will track your order as soon as we receive information.

Shipping charges incurred due to incorrect address, zip code, or the refusal of an item will be charged back to the customer. We cannot ship to PO Box locations.

Seller is not to be accountable for delays in delivery. Factory shipment or delivery dates are the best estimates of our suppliers.

We will determine the most efficient shipping carrier for your order. The carriers that may be used are: U.S. Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS) or FedEX. Sorry but we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. If your are trying to estimate when a package will be delivered, please note the following: Credit card authorization and verification must be received prior to processing. Federal Express and UPS deliveries occur Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. If you require express or 2 day shipping, please call us at 256.232.8456 for charges.

PLEASE NOTE: that out of state orders will not be charged sales tax. In state orders (AL) will be charged 4% sales tax EXCEPT for Limestone, Morgan, and Madison and they will be charged their applicable sales tax rates.

MEWS Lighting & Bath and subsidiaries are committed to protecting your privacy. Information you provide us will not be sold or given to any outside party. Any such information is kept private and confidential and is only use for shipping and processing your order.

Security Policy
Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.

Acceptance of Order
Acceptance of any order is subject to credit approval and acceptance of order by seller and suppliers. If buyer fails to comply with these terms & conditions of sale or if buyer's credit becomes unsatisfactory to seller, seller reserves the right to terminate upon notice to buyer and without liability to seller.

MEWS Lighting & Bath and subsidiaries make every effort to assure the accuracy of the pricing and product information on our website. From time to time, pricing or product information may be inaccurate. Please be advised that all prices and information shown here are subject to verification by our showroom personnel. In the event of a discrepancy, we reserve the right to make any corrections necessary
